Our Story

Lightly equipped. Always capable.

We didn’t set out to build a brand.

We set out to meet a need that kept showing up in real life. Those chaotic, unprepared moments when the smallest things make the biggest difference.

After over 15 years in public service,
a mother and military spouse, I’d grown used to carrying everything.
Just in case. Most “emergency kits” felt like they were built for someone
else , overly tactical, trendy, or simply impractical for daily life.

I didn’t need more stuff.

I needed better solutions. Kits that were useful, compact, and designed with
intention.

That’s where Alder + Sage Co. began.

With a single, quiet question: What if preparedness could feel simple, even
beautiful?

Our first kit was born at the intersection of calm and capability. The kind you can tuck into your glove box or weekender bag, and trust to be there when you need it.

Living abroad in Germany reshaped the way I see design. There’s a quiet confidence in objects that work well without demanding attention. Thoughtful layouts, clean silhouettes, and fewer, better tools.

That minimalist, functional approach stayed with me. But so did the American
spirit that raised me: resourceful, resilient, and ready.

Alder & Sage lives somewhere between those worlds. Not trendy. Not overbuilt. Just prepared. Without panic, and Without noise.
